Peter has been teaching and demonstrating his craft for many years at various venues throughout the UK, Europe and America. Working in retail outlets, national shows and exhibitions, Peter has also delivered structured City and Guilds and ONC courses at Leeds City College of Furniture and Design.

Peter has experience of all aspects of carving but is perhaps best known for his collectable character carvings, many of which feature regularly as project articles in Woodcarving magazine. A prolific carver experienced in hand, power, chisel and knife work, the nature of Peter’s work has enabled him to produce innumerable pieces of work from the lowly but lovable church mouse to intricate studies of musicians and more complex figures.

Enjoying a wealth of teaching experience it is Peter’s belief that anyone can carve if they really have a desire to do so. Uncomplicated approach combined with a relaxed and supportive atmosphere make his classes an enjoyable and creative experience.
